Reduce the drying time of the Spot Repair
The NIR Car Repair is divided into 3 different heating zones to produce optimal results. Each zone reaches the required drying temperature within instant and can run a well defined temperature profile.

adphos developed a new high performance drying system shortening the drying time of Spot Repair.
With conventional infrared heaters drying requires between 7 to 30 min. This time can be reduced by the factor 3 – 5 down to several minutes.
Technological Advantage:
Nearly all water-, solvent as well as powder coatings are quite transparent for the NIR. Fast heating via radiation of the whole coating is therefore possible. Conventional IR-System are heating and drying the top layer only. So time is required to avoid film building of the top layer.
This enables adphos to reduce the drying time compared to conventional IR systems considerably.
To produce a homogeneous heating field
adphos has developed a highly efficient reflector system. This enables a drying of the base- and clear coat within minutes on even metal sheets. In order to dry a spot repair of car bodies, doors, hoods as well as trunks three individually controlled heating zones are required.
All three zones are temperature controlled with a contact free temperature measuring device – avoiding local overheating.
